As a former nail polish collector, do you have a favorite color or colors? Favorite brand?

A few years ago I grew my nails out and did this with them (it's ok if you think this shape is ugly, I won't be offended):

Then I went back to biting them, and now they look like utter crap. :(

My absolute favorites are the old Hard Candy and Urban Decay polishes from the 1990s, I've got quite a few of those and cherish them. I love Cirque Colors, Londontown, J. Hannah, Smith & Cult, Base Coat, Pa Nail, and Pacifica brands of polish. I like Incoco Korea's polish strips and NCLA's nail wraps. As for favorite colors, anything turquoise, green, black! And I LOVE glitter in every color! Currently wearing a lavender glitter polish strip by Incoco called ~Lavender Allure~, lol!

Your nails look FABULOUS in that pic! I love that shape and wish I could do it myself but alas, I have wide, fan-shaped nails and they look better when they're rounded. :/

Wow, that's so many brands I haven't heard of! Do you live somewhere non-North American? I'm Canadian and most of the brands I know are basic drugstore brands (Sally Hansen, Revlon, Sinful Colors, etc.) plus China Glaze, OPI, and Butter London.

Ohh, I looked up swatches and that's really pretty! Does using polish strips make glitter polish easier to remove? Because I LOVE glitter polish, but getting it off is a special kind of hell (pure acetone certainly helps, but I hate how brutal it is on my nails).

Thanks! It was honestly so much work, though. I had to spend like an hour straight, once a week, just on filing them down. Plus they had to be painted AT ALL TIMES or I'd end up breaking them off. So after a while, I didn't really feel like it was worth the time and effort.

I live in California. A lot of the brands I mentioned are available online via their own websites, or eBay.

Glitter polish strips are just as hard to remove as regular glitter polish, unfortunately! I do soak mine off with acetone but you're right, that is very harsh. I tend to give my nails a break every once in awhile tho and I use a lot of cuticle/nail oil. It helps.

That shape is known for being difficult to maintain. Still looks incredible tho!
