The Good Place. Started it a few nights ago and am on s2e10 now. It's taking me forever to get through this episode though because it's extra heavy on the cringe humour and second hand embarrassment.

That's honestly why I gave up on that show a few episodes in. I just couldn't.

It's definitely present in the first season but it just gets worse as the series goes on. Or maybe I'm having trouble overlooking it now because I don't like the characters and their storylines as much now. I don't know. I had it as background noise and it got interesting but didn't stay that way for me.

this is also why I gave it up. I have a major second-hand embarrassment squick.

Saaaaame. If it's a brief scene in a movie I can mute/fast forward etc, but if it's ever-present in a series, I just can't deal.

Huh. Usually that kind of thing bothers me but that's one of my favorite shows and I honestly can't think of a single example of it from the show. Weird.

I was thinking this too. The Good Place is not a show that has a lot of embarrassment or cringe humor. I guess everyone has different embarrassment triggers. This show just doesn't have mine.
