Re: Whatcha Watching?

I started watching Sex Education because I heard Gillian Anderson was in it, and I ended up watching the whole thing in two days. It was really good. I don't quite know how to describe it, though.

It was funny, but I wouldn't call it a comedy, because there was a lot of pathos in there too. It's vulgar but in a way that's kind of sweet and refreshing. And all the characters are flawed, but I ended up liking almost all of them. The actors were all really good - especially Asa Butterfield and Gillian Anderson. And I loved the visual style of it - especially the weird, deliberate ambiguity of it being British but extremely Americanized, and set in the present but extremely 80s influenced.

In case anyone else here likes to watch TV with their parent(s): probably don't watch this with your parents, unless you are comfortable watching extremely graphic sexual content with your folks.
