I like that having "some kind of hangup about RPF" is considered a bad thing lol.

Let me spell this out:

They. Are. Real. People.

Who. Have. Asked. People. Not. To. Do. This. Shit.

Because. They're. Platonic.

Oh, so THIS is what it's been about all along. Again I say, why not just start with the fact that you're anti-rpf and think it's wrong? That way, we can agree to disagree save save ourselves some time.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-21 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
I actually do kind of agree that it's disrespectful if they've specifically asked people not to ship them at all

But that's not the same as RPF being bad in general.

I mean, OP in the corner of the internet thinking "Darn, they're cute together" is not hurting them in any way, so I can't agree that it's disrespectful to have thoughts.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-21 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think it's hurting them, but if someone has specifically asked you not to do it, I think you should respect that.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-21 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
It won't stop them, lol. Their fun will always come before someone else's comfort, and they'll go through a million hoops to justify why it's okay.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-21 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
I don't agree with you, either, because I don't think there's anything intrinsically wrong with it in general.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-21 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Okay but in all fairness, can you say to someone, "Please stop having these thoughts."?

Nowhere does OP say they write fic or do anything that could conceivably get back to the pair (which would be disrespectful imo, I have no problem with people writing fic/fanart etc, but keep that shit on lockdown, there's no need for people outside of fandom to see it).
