As a virgin past their mid-twenties, I'm congratulating what's-his-face for belittling asexuality as "obvious issues". #

I'm comfortable with who I am and unlike him I don't look like I need to smoke weed 24/7 to cope with my life.

Your witty and level-headed commentary, amidst the frothing lunacies typical here, is greatly appreciated.


It's a shame that figure-heads and representatives of the massive movements of film or novel, whose fans absorb and take to heart every word they utter; are sending such messages out into the world.

It's ignorance of a culture one does not participate in which spawns misguided opinions, casting them into a negative light and therefore allowing those whom appreciate, admire and adhere to their voices to reflect the same behavior.


Whether or not the character in question is or isn't indefinitely 'asexual' is moot. The mere fact that his, albeit temporary abstinance prior to meeting Bella, is so flippantly disregarded as anything but an unhealthy or irregular behavior....is disappointing.

It's saddening to see so many cheer and positively proclaim this man in the wake of a secret which places judgement on behaviors that some uphold as important.

To each his/her own. I'm a 30+ asexual that doesn't have a problem with what he said.

Since Edward is rather a driven and single-minded type of guy, bottling it all up for that long isn't healthy. Rather that just express it physically, he screws with Bella's mind.

The boy's got problems. And I love RPattz immensely. I'll even go see that shitty movie just for him.

He could have picked a better trait to use as an example of how messed up Edward is (dozens to chose from!) but...

From what I've heard of the character, he really really really wants to have sex, so yeah, repressing that isn't healthy.
