128 His article about that entire saga is seriously one of my favorite things I've read this year. And I always loved him and his 'stache on VM.

167 I think Sweeney Todd is supposed to be funny in large parts, though. Maybe not the entire thing, but I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say that you completely missed the point.

180 Hello, what the fuck do you think RPF is? It's writing stories with characters that are based on real people. So all you've done to "avoid" rpf is change their names. Dumbass.

Yeah but since the OP doesn't KNOW the actors they're not really basing the characters on those real people, they're inventing characters based on things they imagine the actors to be. So if they're not giving them the names of the actors, they're just creating original characters and only they know what inspired them.

But the people writing rpf don't KNOW the actors either; they're doing exactly what you say, inventing characters based on things they imagine the actors to be. If they were saying "I write original stories, but I base the characters on actors!" I'd be like, whatever, but they said "instead of succumbing to rpf" which not only implies that rpf is a horrible thing that must be resisted but also that they aren't writing rpf because they changed the names. And I'm saying, yeah, still doing exactly what rpf writers are doing.
