In general I'm pretty pro-fat acceptance. I think that people can be healthy and fit at a pretty wide range of sizes.

But, I am soooo not a fan of the HAES movement. To me, it's like the anti-vaxx movement. It's totally anti-science. There's NO WAY to be healthy at the extreme ends of the scale. But it's like a weird mix of anti-vax and pro-ana/mia crap. It's enabling eating disorders while touting itself as, like, super scientific.

I agree. And I am at the extreme end. Well, not the end. But definitely at a weight you can't be healthy at. And I know it. And I'm trying to change that, in spite of health issues and medications making that difficult.

But it is also true that within the middle, there is a wider range where you can be healthy and unhealthy than many people acknowledge. You can be a size 18 and be healthy. You can also be a size 2 and be unhealthy.
