Molly is a classic Smother. She would drive any normal family INSANE with how up in her kid's business she was. Just look at the Chocolate Easter Egg she made for Hermione when she thought she broke Harry's heart. While I can see OP's point she would be Harry's dream fill in Mom. He was so lacking in maternal love from age 1 that Molly would seem like a dream. While she will never be a favorite of mine I can forgive her for being a Smother for all the motherly love she gave Harry when he needed it the most.
