I don't know that it's a good sign, to be honest. It's great to look forward to the challenges and joys of a preteen/teen/adult but... you've got a decade of baby/toddler/little kid to get through first and those are some pretty crucial years in terms of child development. The first three years can be a brutal challenge even for people who thought they love the idea of babies. How's it going to be for someone who doesn't have that background?
