Just admit that it's abusive as all hell and stop idealising it. Stop writing it as if they have a normal relationships without at least putting some serious EFFORT into it.

Don't like, don't read, then. Look, it's clearly a serious issue for you, and I wouldn't deride that - but I honestly don't think demonising people who disagree with you is helpful.

It's just that from where I stand in fandom and the communities I'm part of, I have a pretty good idea of everything that's going on in fandom and it bothers me that so many, hell, possibly even a majority, are deluding themselves and, well, pretty much ruining it for the rest of us.

Seriously, if I have to pinpoint exactly when and where RH fandom started being less fun for me, it's about the same time the whole Guy/Marian madness began.

Ah, right! Fair enough - and thank you, that's given me a much clearer idea of where you're coming from on the whole debate.

It just drowns out everything. I haven't seen a decent Will/Allan fic in bloody AGES.
