I sympathize but is there really a dearth of older/younger daddy kink pairings out there?

Lots of people on tumblr are against that sort of thing cause they equate it to pedophilia. I see it on those "Do not interact" lists all the time. So yeah, one of the main sites for fandom has made it a pariah and there will be less material because of it.

I agree that this example isn't pedophilia, but this isn't always a good argument. Just think of the archetypal example, the 3000-year-old vampire who looks like a 10 year old.

That seems like an utterly useless point of view. If a fictional child is depicted as a child for every meaningful purpose - especially around being sexualized - then I think that's something that we can recognize, not something we have to ignore because of a transparent justification.

Because they're "child coded", because daddy kink normalises pedophilia, because like they used to be kids once, IDK. I'm pretty sure the only thing that isn't pedo these days is characters of age with no more than two years between them, and you're not allowed to ship anything involving characters that are younger than you.
