I saw her speak recently and she was pretty dang funny. She's also got charisma out the wazoo. The whole room was eating out of her hand.

I've seen her speak on talk shows where she was promoting her writing, but that might not be the best venue for her to shine. Her timing always seemed completely off whenever she was trying to be funny on those shows.

As I said in the secret, I find her writing amazing and no doubt she's clever and she entertains me to no end. But I haven't seen a single thing yet that I could describe as funny. And when she tweets something that doesn't land for everyone, or is a bit on the stale side (IMO), and then doubles down as if it should be funny for EVERYONE... ugh.

I'd love to be able to see her in person at a place where she can build up a good joke to prove me wrong, though.

I can see tone of voice not working over Twitter - I follow her and I feel like sometimes she's so dry that the joke may not convey like it does in person. I saw her at the university I work for where she did a short reading but mostly just answered questions from the audience and it was great.
