People should fuck in porn but people should also pay way more attention to the lead-up to actually fucking in porn. Way, way, way more attention. I read a fic the other day where 80% of the fic was foreplay and build-up to fucking and 20% was actually fucking and I think that's the ideal ratio to me.

If you're talking about sexual tension, I totally agree. Honestly, if the tension is good, I'm happy just reading that without any resolution.

If you're talking about plot... no thanks, not why I'm there.

Yeah, sexual tension and sexual atmosphere and sexual build up, that's what I'm talking about exactly

Eh. I like some build up. But too much tension and not enough actual porn is not for me. I need the resolution. The build up is important for the story. But it does nothing for me. I want all the actual naked touching.

Naked touching that's not actually fucking, though... now that's good stuff

We are opposites on this. I live for the build up. 98% of the time the build up does way more for me than the actual sexytiems. And most of the stuff I find most erotic is in the build up, too. I mean, I want the porn - eventually. But if a writer gives me 100K of building emotional and sexual tension before getting to the fucking, I will love them forever.

One of the few points where I agree with Dan Savage: Gay people have to talk about what "sex" means a lot. Straight people don't do it enough.
