Obviously spoilers in here.

Stand by Me. A lot of epilogues end with everyone getting their dream job, staying friends, and a perfect family, but Stand by Me is one of the few I can see actually happening. Might not be the best, but it's stuck with me.

That's one of my favorite movies. The ending is so poignant.

American Graffiti is kind of similar with its ending.

I hate how much I love it because it's too real.

Oh, man, The Thing's ending is fantastic. Love ambiguous endings like that.

Oh God. The Prestige's ending. Literally made my skin crawl. I can never watch that movie again. Nope. It was amazing written, directed and acted and I am NEVER watching it again.

Same same same. I still shudder just thinking about it. Brilliant film though.

They Live - the hero blows up the big alien mind-control ray and then immediately gets shot by a bunch of alien security guards. As he lays there dying in the wreckage of the explosion, he raises his hand and flips the aliens the bird. Beautiful.

"Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown."

The Talented Mr. Ripley (movie) ending is perfect to me. It is the ultimate tragic, chilling, and perfectly appropriate ending. "Tell me some good things about Tom Ripley." *shudders*

Literally one second before the screen cut to black on It Follows, I couldn't take it anymore and I cried at the screen, "Look BEHIND you!" And then the screen cut to black, almost before I'd finished speaking, and I just sat there thinking, "Jesus christ, this movie had me EXACTLY where it wanted me."

I love the ending to Last Night (a little indie apocalypse movie). It was an incredibly heartbreaking movie, but the ending took the entire thing and pulled it ever so slightly away from nihilism and towards a sense of meaning and beauty.

Kudos for mentioning Ripley! That would've been my answer, too.

Return of the Jedi. All the Star Wars movies really. Lion King. How to Train Your Dragon (all 3).

Point Break.

Also, Blade Runner, just for the "It's too bad she won't live" moment

Aww yeah. I loved Point Break's ending.

Obviously, I like happy endings.

This is so dumb, but... Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Which is an awful movie that needs the Rifftrax treatment like yesterday. But in one of the final scenes, where there's a big stampede of people, my mom (from when she was about 19) was an extra, and I can spot her every time. Sometimes, when I miss her and want to go visit but can't, I just watch that scene and I feel a little better.
