I love that ice on the waves scene.

"It looks so ugly after Spiderverse!" ok but Disney isn't going to change the entire art style of their cash cow franchise bc someone else did it.

I've only seen the trailer for Spiderverse... but between the two, it'd be the one I'd call 'ugly'? Or maybe confused and seizureriffic.

Totally different style and aesthetic. Post-processing animation to look like low-budget print comics works well for a comic book movie but not for largely original feature animation.

I saw that. It looks impressive.
However, I don't know if Disney can avoid its usual bad luck with sequels.

That's a really gorgeous trailer and I'm filled with a grain of hope that it will be serious storytelling and not the usual straight-to-home-video goofy family fun of normal Disney sequels.

Aw, fuck. I’m not a fan, and considering Satan never actually shows up in the book, I don’t see the point. But also I think if he had to be involved, he should’ve played Famine.

/sigh Of course he is. I'm not a hater, it's just... he seems to be everywhere and is a too obvious choice. I wish they would've gone for someone a bit more unexpected, like they did in casting Frances McDormand as the voice of God.

I've seen someone say they hope it won't be a case of "dreamy boy goes to war, writes book" but what I see in the trailer doesn't make it seem like it will be anything else...

Watched Happy Death Day 2U today, and there were previews.

I really liked the movie, but I'm a little particular about my horror, so the horror previews creeped me out a bit.

I'd already seen the one for Jordan Peele's Us - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNCmb-4oXJA, still very creepy.
