Honestly? After the live-action Beast and his disturbingly beefcake furry figure and the absolute nightmare that is the live-action Dumbo's eyes, I don't know why people are complaining so much about a look that will likely only be in the movie for a few minutes before he switches to a more-human appearance (as seen in the other promos so far), especially when there was complaining that he /wasn't/ blue before.

I was about to comment that the switch from "why isn't he BLUE?" to "kill it with fire!" has been pretty amusing to watch.

That said this look bugs me because Will Smith's head looks like it was pasted on to a body that doesn't quite match. And I don't mean he isn't ripped enough irl or whatever. I just mean it looks like when your sibling messes with your dolls/action figures and puts the wrong head on the wrong body.

The thing that bugged me about the Beast wasn’t his figure, it was that he looked like he was wearing a Beast mask that barely moved, and I thought Disney would have the money for way better CGI/mo-cap. Even his fur looked like bad CGI, but I could’ve forgiven that if he had the occasional facial expression.

AYRT I agree, and it was especially unfortunate because Dan Stevens is a great actor.

His pecs, however, are unfortunately burned into my mind, because there was no reason at all to make him look like that.
