Spoilers for Catherine Full Body

I've watched the videos and I have a pretty good grasp on the Japanese language, and while some people are exaggerating how bad it is, it's still... pretty bad. Yes, there's no indication of how long after C goes back to "fix" Vincent's life that their wedding happens, but it's reasonable to assume that it's bringing them back to their canon ages just through the earlier context that Toby didn't meet Erica until well after she'd transitioned in the original timeline, meaning that in this new timeline, Erica is still trans (implies that she's a girl) but now she is closeted. Now, granted, it's possible that the timeline on their meeting changed too, but without any other information, there's no reason to assume that either.

Also, there's the entire thing with Rin. Which is handled... better (I'm even willing to look past Vincent smacking her hand away in surprise when she tries to touch him after he finds out she has a penis), but there's still some jokes with her that simply don't need to exist. Not to mention the fact that making yet another trans girl an "other" to the point of her being an actual alien.

I don't know, like... it's not throwing out slurs and it's not aggressively anti-trans I suppose, but it's a death of a thousand paper cuts sort of thing, you know? Erica and Rin are both treated as weird and as jokes and things to be fixed instead of just... people.
