Inspired by the music thread and the high school thread

(Anonymous) 2019-02-17 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)Not really, but my problem was always that I was less of a band/artist followed and more of a one song wonder person as it was. I hated buying CDs back then, and was so glad when iTunes came out, specifically because I tended to only like a few songs on every album. So that alone made it hard to like popular music.
I did like most of Sheryl Crow's stuff, though. She was fairly popular, I think?

I was really into Spice Girls, too. Beyond the catchy music, the Girl Power spoke to my little budding feminist.
Re: Inspired by the music thread and the high school thread
I liked the 'popular' music less as i got older, though there were always some bands - Cheap Trick, Rush, Queen - that I liked no matter what.

(Anonymous) 2019-02-18 01:52 am (UTC)(link)Finally got to see Miss Saigon when it came back in my twenties, my mom took me then. ;)
Sadly I haven't had a chance to see Jesus Christ Superstar ever but I have fond memories of lying on my dad's office floor at home listening to the record for that and Evita.
