It amazed me to hear that those absolutely ripped actors, where every vein and muscle is bulging, actually DEHYDRATE themselves for about 36 hours for just those shots. That's as bad as torturing the poor actress who played Cinderella (though I guess her misery lasted longer). That's actually dangerous to someone's health, to go that long being that seriously dehydrated, just like it is to go weeks or months eating less than a 1000 calories a day.

Healthy bodies, Hollywood! For fuck's sake!

So ... yeah, yes, OP!

Yeah, that's what turned me off. Until recently, I thought Chris Hemsworth in Rangarok was the hottest thing, and then I read an article about him being super dehydrated and about other actors suffering organ damage from doing the same thing, and... yikes. I can't look at him now without wanting to give him a glass of water and a sandwich. (At least he seems healthier/happier when he's not in-character?)

Yeah, that's how you get all the definition, dehydration. Often via medication. Actual athletes have more muscle but less definition (especially in the torso) for this reason, though sometimes after a race when they're super dehydrated you'll see Hollywood-style definition!
