Daniel Craig isn't my type at all (taller and leaner is my thing), but I completely agree with the point you are making, and I think Craig was a good choice to use as an example, because he does look very strong and very fit, but his physique also looks a lot more natural than most of the action movie guys tend to look. He looks like a guy who trains for strength; how his muscles look is an afterthought for him.

I don't really mind the OTT physiques some of the superheros have, especially when there's a reason for it. Like Steve being the product of science!magic, and Thor being a god. But I do feel like such extreme physiques are becoming more and more the norm for these actors, and I wish that weren't the case. I'd far rather have less swol versions of Cap and Thor than have all male action stars pushed to attain similar physiques.

And TBH, once there's three or four major Hollywood stars looking that jacked, it starts to get really boring IMO, like, Oh, there goes another one.
