I am so over this "bad people don't deserve to become better" thing people have.

You realize the popularity of redemption arcs in children's entertainment is very new, right? It used to all be cardboard for-the-evuls and then they get punished, the end. Go watch your fill of older Disney movies if you're sick of villains being redeemed.
