The literal MOMENT these two interacted in the film, I started shipping it. I immediately felt guilty because I firmly believe we need more positive representation of black men as romantic leads, and Aldis Hodge is a talented, attractive actor I really like.

The next moment, they established that Brandon, Josh Brener's character, is gay. I felt even guiltier, but fuck, man. My love for boss/employee power dynamic romances knows no bounds.

They couldn't even give me a romance between Brandon & Kellan Lutz's characters (it's with Pete Davidson's instead,) so I'm bitter. But I guess I can take solace in the fact that Ali & Brandon's relationship was arguably the most important & central to the plot.

P.S. Brandon thinking sport stats at her to prove his worth as a potential agent was hot af.

I'm not into raunch comedy, so I haven't seen this. But Taraji is just amazing. She's the boss in everything she's in. Just the absolute boss.

What made you decide this was "raunch comedy?"

I'll probably watch this on DVD, so I can pause it and scream into a pillow when I feel too embarrassed for the characters -_-'

I just feel like this film is going to end up being far more problematic than helpful in the current climate.
