What is everyone doing this weekend?

I will be trying to not die from cramps as my uterus tries to punish me for not having kids. Might try to play some Apex Legends. Other than that, nothing.

Going to Wells Fargo to pay for my Mexico trip. The organization does things the old fashioned way, so I have to go and deposit my check into their account physically.

I have a ticket to see How To Train Your Dragon 3 at 1:00 tomorrow. I've already seen it, yes. But it is just so good. And I love the whole theater experience.

Probably getting my nails done Sunday. Other than that, lots of sleep. I need sleep badly.

Who are you paying for the trip? Is it a work thing?

It isn't a work thing, but it is for me to get better at my job. It is a Spanish immersion thing. And I'm paying part, my parents are paying part, and a family friend has offered to pay for half.

Sleep is amazing, and you don't always know just how amazing until you don't have it.

I was planning on driving down to visit a friend tomorrow but I texted him to confirm yesterday and he told me he actually couldn't do it. So that sucked a little bit and now I'm sort of at loose ends and I'll probably just hang around I guess.

Darn. Well, hanging around and relaxing is always nice.

Usually it is but if I'm honest it's going to be hard to enjoy it this weekend.

I'm sorry. :(

I did some cleaning today (had the day off because I worked last weekend), but I need to pop to IKEA tomorrow for a few things to hopefully finish organizing my bedroom/mini office space.

I hope you don't get lost in IKEA. D: I've never been to one but I heard they were designed to make you stay in them.

Haha I haven't gotten lost yet, though I did notice last time I went that they had rearranged a little which was a bit confusing.

Funnily enough they were having a sleepover thing last weekend! I kind of wanted to go, but didn't want to go alone, lol. And no one wanted to go with me!

I have to go to Patient First this weekend because I have a persistent sore throat I'm worried might be strep.

Otherwise, I just got back from seeing How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World with my parents & we're about to get dinner. Sunday afternoon, I'm going to see The Young Victoria, served with a three course tea/patries.

What's Apex Legends about? I've not heard of it before. Surprised to hear you'll be playing a game that isn't Overwatch. Sorry about the cramps though. That sucks.

How did you enjoy HTTYD? I enjoyed the first two but I am not crazy about them. What kind of fancy place lets you have tea and movies? That is awesome!

Lol, yeah. An event on Overwatch just ended so I won't be playing much. I always get burnt out after events. Apex Legends is a Battle Royale like Fortnite but without building. So, I might actually have a chance of killing people. I will probably also play Celeste. It is the solo game I am trying to beat right now.

I gave HTTYD: THW 3 1/2 stars. It was good, but upon reflection, I think the first film is the best. The tea is Alamo Drafthouse's monthly Afternoon Tea. Every month, they choose an older period film & serve three different kinds of tea, three different appetizers/pastries that the chef creates each month to pair with the movie. December was the 1993 Little Women, last month was Scorcese's The Age of Innocence. Next month is Howard's End.

Apex Legends sounds like a lot of fun! I'll admit, I've never heard of Celeste either, but I hope you have a blast.

This weekend I need to finish the book I am reading or I will have missed my reading challenge goal. If I do that I will probably not read for ages and then get more upset ect.

Right now, Ibuprofen is doing its job. Just got to keep ahead of the pain.

Probably being sick, I seem to have a minor cold coming in but I don't feel hugely awful so hopefully it'll pass quickly enough and without too much issue.

Eurgh I'm sorry you've dealing with the inevitable monthly punishment, I'd offer to fight it into submission for you but that seems counter-productive. Also slightly impossible. Drink lots of water, take painkillers and do your favourite lazy-thing because fuck being productive.

I hope it is just a minor cold! There are all kinds of illnesses going around my area.

I got a leaflet from my surgery today asking me to come in for my first smear test, and I swear they could not have made a more uncomfortable-looking diagram of it.

I do have a heating pad, thankfully!

Surgery as in doctor? Or is a surgeon giving you a smear test for an upcoming surgery? I know some European countries call their doctor's office a surgery.

That's good! I hope you've got some good painkillers and it eases off soon. Cramps are the worst. Rest as much as you can!

Yeah, surgery as in doctor. I forget that it's not called surgery in other parts of the world! I will make the appointment but my god the diagram does not make it look pleasant. Rationally I know it's not that bad but they've made everything look so... pointy.
