I love this show but it would NOT work as a reboot. As has already been stated, because no one could ever replace John Mahoney. (also, of course, Frasier and Niles are snooty as all fuck but so much of the humor of the show comes from their pompousness backfiring on them!)

I never watched the show much, but I did see an episode where they were going to a spa and made a scene when they weren't getting the most exclusive treatment. Whenever there was a door to another part of the spa that they weren't allowed to go through, they'd insist on getting whatever the more fancy package was. Finally, they are in the most exclusive, inner sanctum of the spa and there is another door. When no one is watching, they go through the door... only to find it was a fire door and they are now stuck in a grimy alley, cocooned in their seaweed wraps, and the door doesn't open from the outside.

hahaha I remember that ep. that's exactly what I mean by their pompousness backfiring on them!
