Re: What media did you give up on?

Bones. Everyone became unlikable, even the ones I originally was a fan of. Booth was always right and Brennan was always the one who had to learn a lesson. The show believed that all relationships look the same and follow the exact same tropes, and anything that doesn't isn't "true love." I wish I'd given up sooner.

House. Everyone became unlikable. I was way into House/Cuddy, but the ship actually happening in canon ruined it. I wish I'd given this one up sooner too.

Supernatural after the trainwreck that was season 6 and the terrible, terrible season 7 premier.

I am with you on all of these.

Although it sounds like I gave up a bit earlier than you with Bones. I gave up when she had her baby. I loved her so much in the earlier seasons, and it felt like they changed her way too much. Especially without Booth changing.

OMG so much with the House/Cuddy. They played the ship so badly that it ended up killing the ship entirely for me. I wish I'd stopped watching before they were made canon.

And I gave up mid season 5 on Supernatural, so you lasted longer than I did there as well. Ellen and Jo (especially with Anna) were my breaking point.

I sadly stuck around with Bones until they got married. I should have quit earlier, but the marriage was the final straw for me.

I'm still not over the death of Ellen and Jo.

I'm glad I didn't make it to the marriage.

And Ellen was so great. I loved her so much.

Totally agree with Bones, those are the same reasons I gave it up.

And I almost gave House up for the same reason. The last couple seasons were awful, but I loved the series finale (although it was incredibly similar to both the season finale of another show, and the ending of a movie that both came out around the same time) so I guess I'm glad I did stick around.

Also agree with Supernatural, although I don't think I even bothered with the season 7 premiere.

Agree with you on Bones. Brennan as a stand alone character evolved so much and it happened gradually for a tv show character. You could see why she was changing. But the other characters just sort of ran roughshod over her. And I started getting annoyed when every time I tuned in there was a new intern. We get it, no one can replace Zack.

House definitely felt like one of those shows that should have been cancelled but was allowed to keep going because it still had decent ratings. The story just wasn't there to support it anymore.
