Why do people flip out so much over things random teens post on Tumblr? Jfc, I am so glad 95% of my teen drama bullshit was literally consigned to the trash with my notebooks full of random bog standard teen idiocy. It’s not like most of these kids are posting stuff specifically designed to piss adults off, and even if they were, that’s also a standard teen thing. Ignore it, or, I guess, become a “damn kids, get off my lawn,” stereotype to go with their rebellious teen stereotype.

Who's flipping out?

AYRT—I think the OP of this thread was maybe overreacting to dumb teen shit.

Wanting to close a tab and cringe doesn't seem like a huge overreaction to me. They weren't throwing a fit or sending hatemail or anything. They just went, "... nah."

I do that a lot. I had no idea this was considered a big deal.

But if their reaction were as low key as your reading of it, why would they take the time to come and make a post specifically to talks about "tumblr cringe"?
That reads very critically to me.

Uh, well... it's the general comments section. People chew the fat about all sorts of random things. Doesn't mean they're taking it super serious.

NAYRT

I think maybe I'm reading it a little differently because people on this comm seem to have such a problem with Tumblr, and with ~~~special snowflakes~~~, and that stuff.
