174. I was so young when I started watching that he became my point of view character. His growing up was my growing up. SO, yeah, I love Wesley and to this day I get a little sour when people ridicule him.

168. What? Seriously, who does that? How would anyone be able to remember?

162. Gods, I loved that movie. I thought it was beyond beautiful and warm and fluffy and then lots of people died bloody deaths, The psychology of it, the claustrophobia and dear GOD those sun shots - I loved it beyond the telling. In fact, I requested it for yuletide, a lot.

154. I like the fucked-up. Elle and HRG are totally fucked-up. I want to believe most fans appreciate just how fucked up these characters are (all of them from Matt to Nathan to Maya) but, eh, you know how it is. I mean, the existence of the fluffy Mylar types? Yeah.

139. Hmm. People like you make me worry about the world, you know. Nothing against weird ships (I've recently found that I ship Putin/Medvedev, which btw, someone should totally write for me) but I honestly think that not voting is just about the worst thing anyone can do in this election.

124. At least they'd be easily recognizable psychopaths?

123. Hey, that's canon, isn't it?^^

114. I think Jensen looks like a girl in many, many of his close-ups. Which is why I like him. I have this freaky tendency to photoshop guys I like into girls (hey, genderswap is a hobby^^) and Jensen is *so* easy. All you have to do is clean up the jaw line a bit.

109. I will never, ever forgive the powers that be for X-Men 3 and the terrible mess they made of the Pyro/Iceman reunion. Something that could have been a erotically charged epic fight, and they went and made it all bland.

108. I think you'll find there are a lot of gen-ficcers out there. Maybe you're looking in the wrong places? I, personally, don't read the longer gen stories because do want some sex with my fanfic, but the community is by no means all about sex all the time. Of course, it also depends on the particular fandom.

101. No fandom is complete without at least two superhero AUs.

Hee, I love them, too. They're probably the closest I have to an OTP.

I agree. I grew up with Wesley, so when I hear people criticize him, it's like they criticized my childhood. >_

Yep, pretty much exactly like that.

Half of the anime fandoms, it sometimes seems. I don't get it. I speak Japanese and I still don't remember all the pairing numbers, so how do the people who don't speak it do it?

That is just such an odd thing to do. I mean, pairing names can be kind of odd, too, but nowhere near this... impractical? See, Draco/Harry tells me all I need to know. McShep could already be a bit ambiguous. But 7823? I don't even know!

Haha, in the two I'm in, it actually does have reasoning behind it!

In Katekyo Hitman Reborn, parts of characters names actually come out to be numbers (Yamamoto = 'ya' and 'ma' = 8 and 0 = 80; Gokudera = 'go' and 'ku' = 5 and 9 = 59), and more than that, they're often shown in the series with their number close by to them (on a shirt, a bag, Tsuna's mittens/gloves say '27', etc). The Japanese fandom latched onto that, and English fandom followed. It's confusing, but it doesn't take too long to get, and not all the characters have number associations- not even all the main ones do. XD; It's odd, but not too bad.

In Keroro Gunso (... yes, the series with the cracktastic alien frogss), it's even easier since the English-speaking fandom doesn't often use the numbers. But the same reasoning is given- characters names break down into number-and-sometimes-letter combinations (Keroro is K66, Giroro is G66, Kururu is 966), and some of the characters are even called/referred to by those names in canon. (Natsumi's "secret identity" in a couple of chapters is "Super 723," and Mutsumi's radio-DJ alter-ego is referred to as "623"... or, rather, written as 623 since it's still pronounced Mutsumi. XD; Ouch. In the anime they even make a minor thing about his first and last names- Mutsumi Saburo- being '623-326', which just reinforces that the creators of this series are far dorkier than even the fans. XD)

And apparently in Gundam Wing, though I was never in it, the characters' names actually DO mean numbers- literally, like Duo is 2 and Quatre is 4, etc, so that one doesn't seem too hard at all to me. XD

SORRY FOR JUMPING IN, and I have to say that most fandoms that do this confuse the heck out of me, but the ones I'm actually in that do it actually... make a decent amount of sense to me, and just wanted to explain why some of us do it (though I still prefer writing out the names ♥).

I'm not voting because I can't convince myself to simply toss my vote out to some random candidate I can't support completely. I don't agree with a lot of things by McCain. I don't think Obama has the experience and I don't think he will be aggressive enough in helping this country. I also don't like Obama's plans on how to help the economy and. . .the economy is personally my biggest concern.

While I would love to write-in Richardson's name ( God, I was soooo hoping Obama would take him as VP. ) I feel. . .a bit defeated. My "voice" won't be heard since Richardson isn't the Democratic candidate.

Also, I know full well that by not voting, I am also giving up my "right", you could say, to bitch and complain about how the soon to be President chooses to run the country. Not voting, wasn't an easy decision that I decided upon over night.

But I am not throwing my ballot away. Oh, no. I plan on doing a painting and having it somehow be in the painting. That will be my voice, to show some of the ridiculous things I have seen through MSM eyes.

So, don't worry about me. Worry about the people who say they would never vote for a black man or the people who say they won't vote for McCain simply because they can't understand a word that man says.
