I don't think Jonbenet's family did it, either, but that seems to be the general consensus. A lot of that is based on their behavior after the murder, but I think they're reading too much into it.

I feel like a lot of people don't seem to grasp that different people react differently to grief. They expect overt tears and mourning, and that just isn't everyone. John Douglas has a good chapter on the case in his unsolved mysteries book (actually, that book in general is good, I think he's got a pretty good suggestion about Jack the Ripper as well).

IA with Douglas' take on it. Obviously it's not impossible for parents to kill their own children, but IMO it doesn't make sense in this case.

This. IMO, it wasn't even that bizarre. They acted like the privileged rich people they were by lawyering up (a wise move regardless and NOT a sign of suspicion like the cops try to insist it is) and protecting themselves from an incompetent police department who bungled the investigation from day one. Patsy's behavior was strange, but she was also drugged to the gills. There was plenty of tears and mourning.
