8. I'm of the firm belief that anything someone picks up from fandom should only be used IRL, and then only sparingly. If someone ever writes "aibou" in an RP or fic, I'm totally out of there. However...it's totally legal among friends off-line, unless they do it so often you feel the urge to hurt them. Also, while the "yo" thing is occasionally forgivable, actual Japanese words are not. So, generally, word.

Rude Religions are vastly superior to Reno Religions, anyway.

We should totally make a union. :D

Hmm, but what shall we call this wonderful union? I think the members should just be referred to as "Rude-ists" like you said, though. It has a nice ring to it.

It drives me insane everytime I see that word. It's like I'm allergic to it. What's worse is over on Y! that's all they use. It's never partner or anything else, it's always 'My aibou' ... I didn't even know what the word meant and I've been a ShinRa fan for years now.

Advent Children spawned so many bad habits for the ShinRa sub-fandom....it's shameful. At least we're not the only ones absolutely loathing it, right?

I didn't know what it meant either. I had to look it up in an English/Japanese dictionary.

I have to say that I think it's weird for Rude or Reno to use this word. I like the Rude/Reno pairing but where the heck would a slum rat come up with the word aibou? As for yo, I never have Reno say it. I don't conciously not use it, it just never gets used.
