I kinda feel the same way. I don't have an opinion on her or Harry Potter as a whole but it seems ridiculous that her off handed comments have generated so much controversy and in turn malice from some people.

There seem to be a lot of people in JKR fandom that are under the impression that all people walked around crapping like rabbits until sometime after the Renaissance and wizards were just behind the technology curve. Maybe Hogwarts is real and these people are alumni?
