I can't post links right now but if you google these titles/authors and 'ao3' then they should come up:

Anything but Ordinary by Cimorene
Bright with his splendour by Daegaer

Those are my two favorite fics. The second is gen but only in the same way that the book is gen - so an unspoken love story for the ages. :)

Searching GO recs still brings up some old lists of good stuff too.
