Lesbian here: honestly couldn't tell you. It read to me as defensive (hiding her body under baggy/unflattering clothes), not... fashion. Or lack thereof. And tbh I don't like the continued stereotype of the masculine/badly-dressed lesbian, because it's not as prevalent as you think.
