172) Zuko would have jumped in front of that lightening if it had been aimed at any of the people he cares about -- Toph, Sokka, Aang, Iroh, Mai...probably a near-stranger, really. It just means he's a selfless and brave person. You can ship whatever you want to, seriously, but I don't think that scene was about "Zutara." His little sister tried to kill one of his friends, and then he had to watch her flail around on the ground in chains as the last shreds of her sanity fell apart. It doesn't exactly scream "romance" at me, you know? (Also there is the matter of his actual relationship with Mai, but again, you don't have to ship canon. I just think people have PLENTY OF REASON not to ship Zuko/Katara.)

177) Awwwwwww...but you know, a lot of us didn't come in until late in the game! I caught up with the show and started watching new episodes near the end of second season -- I was sad I didn't get to squee with them the first time around, but it was still pretty good times <3

The more I hear about Avatar, the more I realise that it's reeeaally not kiddie TV. And the more I want to watch it, if I could find it anywhere online. D:<

I've joined a community called avatar episodes or something like that; you can see it on my profile links. THey have all the episodes up for download.

Also, Zuko risked his life for that whole town and the Lee kid in Zuko Alone. I think that is just who he is.

There are plenty of reasons, IMO, to enjoy the friendship. Which is what I do.
