(Anonymous) 2008-09-16 03:43 am (UTC)(link)i'm almost 27 and i'm still carrying my v card. my sister (a decade younger with 8 partners already notched into her bedpost) cannot wrap her mind around my nonchalance of the state of my hymen. she thought i had given it away when i was her age. nope. she can't understand that i don't care if i remain a virgin or not. if i find someone and choose to share my body with them, fine. if i don't, fine. thing is, i have a lot of self esteem issues to work through before i'm ready to hop in the sack with someone else. besides, as i see it, sex is mainly for procreation, and i have absolutely no desire to spawn. if it's pleasure i seek... i have two hands and a vibrator. i know what i like, and i don't need to create a mood or turn off the lights or do anything to please anyone but myself. right now, i'm cool with that. i'm not "saving for marriage" and i'm not going to hook up with someone just to get laid. so don't worry about it. focus on yourself, don't worry about what everyone else thinks, and when your other half comes along, they'll be understanding. if they're not... well, then, they weren't the right one, now were they?
