I dunno, I thought she was kinda fun. She had some quirks that were annoying (don't we all), but overall, the character was kind and mostly upbeat and interesting. Plus, you know - blonde and stacked, so.....

Seconding this.

I feel like it's really common for people to say the leads in shows have bad personalities, but I rarely agree. They're usually the most complex, fleshed out characters, and maybe that has something to do with it? Like, because they're more fleshed out, they have more flaws and therefore there's more things for someone to potentially dislike about them?

Also, the show is more about them than it is about any of the other characters, because they're the lead, and I think some people react really negatively to that. Like, I'm constantly seeing leads accused of being horribly self-involved, when really they're no more self-involved (and often less self-involved) than many of the supporting characters. The narrative just pays more attention to them overall, which can create an impression that everything revolves around them...because in a Doylist sense, it literally does.

That is way more intellectual that I could have managed at this time of day.

I feel this way about so many protagonist type characters that aren't hot but have a ton of boyfriends or girlfriends. Like, damn, in the real world it's usually only a money that can net you that much dick with a face like that.

I think she looks fine, pretty even, but since when did people with average looks have much of an issue getting with someone else? And, really, since when did terrible personalities have much of an issue getting with someone else? I promise you, there are lots of people out there who are not rich, are average-looking and/or annoying that have absolutely had multiple significant others.

To be fair, however, Carrie Bradshaw was not poor (given her clothes and apartment) and had some notoriety.
