I used to make comments about the random characters in textbooks to my friends when I was a kid, but they were mostly insulting since I was an asshole of a child.
Inwardly I did have half second shippy thoughts, but never to the extent you're talking about.

I've only seen two movies with her (One had EVERYBODY acting very poorly so she wasn't out of place, and Scott Pilgrim was like 9 years ago), so I don't have a modern view of her acting......but I don't disagree with you. I'm still a little sad Emily Blunt was not Captain Marvel.

It's not that they're being treated unfairly harshly, it's that other people are being treated unfairly leniently. I don't necessarily think that what Huffman and Loughlin did was uniquely morally objectionable but I don't think it's right to consider them victims either (and also, I want to laugh at them, because it's very funny).
