You should. A lot of things are coming about the prosecutor 'recusing' herself and then going back on that saying the word was used 'colloquially' and having contact with both friends of the actor and his family members.

Yeah but the dude had 16 felony charges and the hatred of the whole criminal justice system of Chicago. It seems massively, extraordinarily unlikely that if you have a guy like that dead to rights, you're going to throw it away for no real reason, when convicting him is going to be popular and letting him go is going to cause you a massive slew of problems. It's not even like he's a huge celeb. He's a d-lister.

It doesn't pass the smell test. And that's not to say he's not guilty. Just that it doesn't make sense that he got away with it for no other reason than celebrity.
