I don't like this weird 'pitting them against one another' thing that happens with female characters either. I didn't see it with BW and Carol, but WW and Carol, as if we couldn't have two female-led superhero movies(that were great fun) and love both, no we have to choose!

Fuck that.

So long as a BW was every bit as fun as CM then I'm down for it, and I'd also be so down for a female team-up movie with the MCU ladies that make sense for it too. I know I'd love to see Carol and Okoye in the same movie at least, Hope and Valkyrie too? (Honestly I'd just love to have the whole BP lady-group again as they were all fantastic).

Other than Sharon (and she was fine when they weren't throwing her at Steve in the worst, most blandest, non-chemistry way possible), i've liked *all* the women in the Marvel movies. I'd love to see them kicking ass and taking names like Natasha and Okoye did in BP.

I made the comment that was turned into the secret about not being enthused about Brie Larson as an actress. It has absolutely nothing to do with Black Widow. If it had been an actress I really liked, I might have gone to see it. Then again, maybe not, as I'm a little burnt out on MCU, even having only seen about half of the movies. I do think female superhero movies should be encouraged, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go see them all, no matter what.

Huh? The Brie Larson secret didn't have anything about comparing OR pitting her against Black Widow. There was nothing that suggested either/or.

OP likes Black Widow so any post about CM will automatically be "pitting women against each other".
