Disregarding for a moment that I personally didn't find Joshua unlikable, he's also not nearly as obnoxiously a Jesus clone as Asian. Definitely more like "vaguely inspired by" than "Look, it's literally Jesus but as a LION".

Aww this is a very sweet secret.

I've been drawn to the same type lately. I think for me because life has been full of pretty awful people winning, and I just like solid Good characters. It's a nice imagine to get lost in for a bit.

It fell flat for me. There was a very brief moment, when he showed his vision, that I felt a rush of what it must have been like in that crowd. Otherwise, I didn't find it persuasive. Probably because it wasn't meant to be. TPTB shied away from that, and the scene and the whole film suffered for it IMO.
