I low key ship it, and I don't think they're being judgy at all. They are literally just arguing with the idea that it's not incest. They've said multiple times that they don't care whether people ship it, and I don't see why I'd doubt them on that.

My issue is more with the denial that adopted siblings are real siblings. I have adopted people in my family (two cousins). They are just as much real family as biological family. But saying Thor/Loki isn't incest is saying that adopted siblings aren't real siblings. And that's what I have a problem with.

Some people define incest as being inherently a biological issue. If you're biologically related, then it's incest; if you're not, then it's not. I can see why you feel the way you do, but I disagree with how you interpret this viewpoint. It's not that they think adopted siblings aren't real siblings; it's just that they think non-biological incest isn't incest. For some people, the fundamental element of incest isn't psychological, it's genealogical.

Personally, I have no horse in this race.
