DA. (possible spoilers) I would say Fruba is much worse than either because there were tons of m/m and f/f built up that just get dropped. Even Akito is revealed as female, thus making Shigure/Akito m/f as well.

As much as people like to claim HP and Naruto were ~soo gay~ they didn't have characters actually having stated crushes on other male characters like Fruba did. Hell, it's listed as a "good anime" by that Christian anime site because the characters "overcame their homosexuality and became good hets."

I mean, I'd understand if they IDed as bi, because all bi characters should be celebrating and the discourse about 'bi characters in m/f relationships don't count as LGBT anymore' is gross but it's more like it's considered a silly little thing that they get over by getting into proper m/f relationships.

(And considering that IS a Japanese view see: romantic two girl friendship, then it probably is.)
