What media stands the test of time for you?

And which media has not, and why?

Band of Brothers is still great.

It's dated as fuck but all the flashbacks and things in Highlander: The Series really work for me? I still love it.

And Star Trek the Original Series. It's so campy at times but it's also really thought-provoking and intriguing.

Absolutely TOS, I rewatch it any chance I get!

TOS is the shit, and when it's just shit it's still fun as heck to watch.

I started re-watching TOS recently. It's much better than it was when it first came out - at least, it seems that way. Young!me was all, "Doesn't everyone try to get along? Why is this programme preaching at me?" while enjoying the adventures nonetheless. Older, wiser and more experienced me thinks "yeah, that was pretty ground-breaking at the time."

Married With Children is pretty dated, but I still find it enjoyable.

The use of CG in Ghost in the Shell still impresses me. The creators knew the limitations of the technology, and they knew just how far they could push them.

I still enjoy the hell out of the first Matrix movie, and, more surprisingly, it still looks good. Maybe not mind-blowingly good, like it did in 2000, but good.

Doctor Who. Well, most of it anyway. I've watched some of Who Classic, and I've really enjoyed most of it. Star Wars movies. All of them. Star Trek (Original, Next Gen, DS9, and Voy). Lord of the Rings movies, for all their problems.

What hasn't: Hobbit movies. I enjoyed them in the theater the first time, but I just can't bring myself to rewatch anymore. So terrible. The Matrix movies. All of them. I used to love the first one and actually enjoyed the other two. But going back and watching recently, they just aren't good outside of the technology. The effects are better than the actual movie plot and characters.

Bbc's Pride and Prejudice is still amazing imo.
