There were some porny X-Files fics I did this with, back in the day, because the smut was hot but Mulder and Scully called each other Fox and Dana (a heinous offence which made any fic unreadable, even just for the porn).

I've also done this a few times in more recent years, but not for the names. Instead, it was to change all instances of "cum" and "cumming" to "come" and "coming."

Ugh, why do people do that? I can live with 'cum', I suppose, but when it's turned into a verb, I just can't....
