Re: The Lion King trailer

I'm in the camp of "why do they even need to remake this," whenever it comes to live-action CGI reboots anyway, but I think I've finally twigged what puts me off about this one in particular, and it's the facial expressions, or lack of. That shot where Simba steps into the pawprint had so much raw emotion and personality on his face in the original, and here he just kind of... looks up, and there's nothing there. It looks really visually impressive, at least. Idk, the original is one of my all-time favourite movies and I just don't feel like this was needed. :(

I thought the same thing! Scar has more emotion when he tells Simba to run than Simba does at any point in the trailer.
