How does one find out their blood type in the first place? I doubt either of my parents know theirs.

Assuming it’s not in your medical records, which it should be, if you ever donate blood they’ll type you.

Well, I know mine because i had a kid, and they test your blood to see if you have the Rh factor when you're pregnant (you need a shot if you do).

Other people know from donating, from military service, if they've had surgery..... If you want to know yours, if you can, just donate blood, they'll tell you after what your type is.
