Your responsibility in the sense that, you should be careful walking down dark alleyways at night. I.e. you can't control other people being assholes.

That doesn't mean they aren't assholes, though.

Okay, what specific scenario are you referring to, exactly?

Having a physical conversation with friends? Posting a spoiler on a mixed-fandom place like fandom!secrets without marking it?
