Why?

Game of Thrones. Based on what my friends have told me about it, it just doesn't sound like my kind of thing and I have no interest in watching it.

Game of Thrones. Never watched it because I seriously cannot handle gore on screen. I've got no reason for not having read ASOIAF though, except possibly the mutterings a few years back about them being kinda male gaze-y and creepy. I'm still planning too, though.

Black Mirror.

Looks a bit scary.

This, but rather than scary, disturbing. I like thought-provoking stuff, and I don't mind eerie and uncomfortable, but based on what people have told me about Black Mirror it sounds completely miserable. Like something that would get stuck in my head at night when I'm trying to sleep and just leave me feeling awful.

Disturbing, yeah that's a better word.

Pity, bc it has a plethora of my favorite actors but not trying to be depressed out of the ass.

I’ve seen some of it, and that’s exactly how it is for me. Way too dark. I watched it because people said it was like a modern twilight zone (this was before the reboot, which I have not seen and am now scared to) and I love the OG twilight zone.

Star Wars. I've tried to watch them so many times but they are so boring to me.

I initially thought your icon was C-3PO and wondered if that was supposed to be ironic or something.

This. I've really, really tried, and I do like a bit of sci-fi, but it just never sticks with me.

Twilight and 50 Shades.

Not on my feminist high horse about them or anything, just sounds boring and so, so... het.

Game of Thrones (although I've seen bits and pieces of episodes, especially from earlier seasons, back when I used to travel more for work and spend more time in hotels with free HBO).

As for why not, it just seems too violent and gory for me. Plus, when it started I didn't have cable, then I did but didn't want to pay extra for HBO, then I was getting free HBO briefly but the show wasn't on then, then the free HBO went away, then I dropped cable all together, and finding streaming/DVD options is just too much work. Frankly, I'm very lazy when it comes to entertainment and if your show isn't on regular American broadcast television at a time of day when I feel like watching something, then I don't see why I should bother.

The 50 Shades movies. The Twilight movies. Read the first books for both. Had no interest in anything further.

I saw the rifftrax versions of some of the twilight movies, that's the only way they're tolerable.

The Walking Dead. I don't like zombies.

Most of the MCU. I've seen Thor, Captain America, and like the first 1/4 of Ragnarok. Because I don't have enough interest to pay for a movie ticket and I don't live near a rental place, so if I want to see them I have to either wait for Netflix to stream them or watch a friend's DVD.

Apparently these are popular ones...

Game of Thrones. I have seen some episodes, but I never felt the need to watch more even though it's the kind of thing I usually like. I just couldn't get into it for whatever reason.

Twilight. Read the first couple chapters of the first book after a friend begged me to read it and that was enough for me.

Fifty Shades of Grey. The Fifty Shades of Suck website is more than enough to know it is awful and I have zero desire to read it.

I think if there is a popular media, chances are I haven’t watched it.

I'm chuckling @ the fact that apparently the only SW movies you saw were the prequels.

I've made some attempts to get into Star Wars, Star Trek and LoTR but it never works. Blade Runner and The Godfather are ones that people always shout at me for not seeing.

Infinity War: Civil War was one of the stupidest movies of the last decade, and after it was revealed that Thanos is a stupid villain who doesn't understand population growth, I just checked out. Also I'm really tired of the social media spam over every theory and rumor about these two films.

Game of Thrones: Not into long-form or grimdark-adjacent fantasy these days.

Harry Potter - I tried reading it and just couldn't get very far. I did see the first movie though. Wasn't a fan.

Game of Thrones - I'm just not into that medieval fantasy stuff.

Breaking Bad - I watched a few episodes and I just wasn't interested.
