In retrospect, I'm struggling to remember when he ended up out there in IW.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-22 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
He was on that destroyed planet, Titan, with Quill, Drax, Mantis, Nebula, Dr. Strange, and Spider-Man and then just about everyone else was dusted.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-22 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
DA - So he's still with Nebula? He's not actually alone in space or whatever.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-22 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, he's with Nebula and they fixed the ship together.

Pats gently.

Sorry your fav is problematic, boo.

Seething...over the secret, because you like Tony Stark?

If so, then you have my solidarity. I like him too. Love him, even. I adore Steve (and Bucky), so this isn't some kind of rivalry thing for me. Honestly, I have strong affection for most of the MCU characters. But Tony is the vital center of the MCU for me. He's flawed and he's messy and he's made some real mistakes for sure, and he tries so damn hard, constantly, and I just love him. Always have. *shrugs*

I'm with you there, bud.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-22 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Same, honestly. Boo freaking hoo, Tony.

We should be friends

(Anonymous) 2019-04-22 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I could have made this secret. I'm am so over him and his drama.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-23 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, gotta have more Steve and the ever-justified woobie Bucky, huh?

[personal profile] philstar22 2019-04-23 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
Except Bucky is an actual woobie. Except Bucky literally was forced into doing everything he did. So Bucky is actually completely blameless. Steve not necessarily. But Bucky yes.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-23 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
And all his victims get to see zero justice. Like, that's what burns my biscuits here. "Oh, well, he was brainwashed!" They should have nixed that bullshit plot because, like, it means the person who victimized them will never see justice.

I get you like Bucky. I've seen you stan him and Steve especially. I'm just kinda sick of those two while Tony's PTSD and reasonable reactions are put down on fucking repeat because he's not Pretty Perfect Steve and Bucky.
philstar22: (Default)

[personal profile] philstar22 2019-04-23 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
They can get justice by seeing the people who forced him to do what he did punished. Because those people are the ones responsible, not Bucky.

How is it stanning to say that Bucky was brainwashed and not responsible? I honestly don't see any other way to interpret canon.

And I don't personally think Tony's reactions are that reasonable. A bit of it, yes, in the heat of the moment. But Tony knew well that Bucky was brainwashed and forced to do it. He knew well where the blame actually was with. A bit of his reaction was to be expected, but he went too far. I don't think that makes him evil. He's sympathetic to me too. And I actually think Steve should have been a bit more understanding towards Tony, so I don't think Steve is totally blameless. Only Bucky is blameless.

They weren't "his" victims. Punishing him for what Hydra forced him to do would be an absolute farce of justice.

Also there's a whole Iron Man movie (and half a Captain America movie) focused entirely on Tony's PTSD so it's not like he's being ignored here. We're just sick of him hogging the spotlight when EVERYONE'S lives suck.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-23 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm pretty damned sick of Tony's PTSD and inability to have mature coping mechanisms taking over everyone else's storylines. I guess we both get to be upset that we're not getting what we want.

I love Tony. Tony is my fave. However, I agree with you about Bucky. He was a victim of Hydra every bit as much as the people who Hydra used him to kill. Based on what we know so far, Bucky is blameless.

And Tony's attack on Bucky in CW was a low point for him.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-23 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
People who are sick of Tony =/= people who ship Steve/Bucky.

+millions

(Anonymous) 2019-04-23 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Nice. I couldn't have said it better myself.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-23 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
He's my fave but I'm pro bashing, grudges and illogical dislike so you do you. I kinda hate some MCU characters too so I can't throw stones here.

I, for one, hope for more Strange, Stark and Nebula.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-23 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
He's my favorite, and that scene had me by the heart. But I'm not interested in fighting anyone about their hatred of him. We all have characters we dislike; tastes differ; yada yada.

I wish more people in this fandom had your attitude (source: like a character a lot of people hate and am tired.)

(Anonymous) 2019-04-23 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
+1 for fandom maturity. I respect you.
