Random gripe

The youngest "millennials" are now over 20, and the oldest are like 37. People who use the term as a catch-all to mean "teenagers & the student youth" are mentally stuck in the '00s

signed, a millennial twice those teens' age

I roll my eyes every time people refer to student protests or those Parkland kids as those ~dang anti-gun millennials~. Or Tumblr teens as millennials. Nothing against them, but those are Gen Z.

Honestly, I'm kind of okay with it, solely because the articles that get written about millennial midlife crises are going to be so much more unbearable

Well if the cutoff for millennials was 1981, and mid-life is 40, we’ve only got two years to wait.

Like for real, teenagers aren't buying diamonds and cloth napkins, so of course those industries are dying out!

I'm sick and tired of all of the "millennials are killing X" whining in general. Wow, how dare people not want to buy useless things like diamonds or antiques or expensive silverware! Like, seriously, why would you want to encourage people wasting their money on stuff they don't need that serves absolutely no practical purpose instead of saving it or investing it or spending it wisely?

+1

you mean people can't buy useless shit if most of them aren't being paid a decent living wage? what a surprise!

I'm amused at boomers and millennials who think the "younger generation killing X!" phenomenon is new. 50 years ago, your grandparents helped murder millinery.

As someone who routinely flunks history class, THANKS.
I'm sick of people not understanding how this things repeat themselves.

Ugh. Damn Autocorrect.

These things repeat themselves.

This is a boomers thing (and a clickbait headline writers thing), not a millenial thing

& to be honest, boomers are the ones who should know better

but they never do

Acknowledging Millennials as grown-ups means all earlier generations must admit they aren't young anymore.
