Yeah, regardless of my feelings towards the ship I honestly I felt like their endgame was repeatedly whacked over my head like an anvil, and I was surprised to come online and find that it was a question mark. Star Wars is a pretty simple series, it does subvert some tropes but it follows a generally traditional narrative. They are clearly moving towards a redemption arc and his and Rey's interactions in TLJ were too soaked in romance tropes to be accidental. It's not a dead cert for a happily-ever-after, but it's Star Wars so I'm not going to rule it out.
